April 11 is celebrated as CHENAPODA DIBASA , the date of birth of Inventor of CHENAPODA late SUDARSHAN SAHOO .

Chhenapoda originated in the Odia village of Dasapalla,Nayagarh district . The owner of a confectionery, Sudarsan Sahu decided to add sugar and seasonings to leftover Chena one night, and left it in the Chulha that was still warm from earlier use. The next day, he had just found out that this accident invented our favourite sweet.(source: Wikipedia)
